Apples

We took Konrad up to Gma and Gpa G's house on Saturday to go to the apple orchard. It was freezing and he had a bit of a cold, so we tried to make it a short trip. We would have been more successful if we hadn't waited in the ridiculously long line for fresh donuts. But there is nothing quite like a fresh donut at the apple orchard. And being that Joel and I live pretty much next door to Dunkin' Donuts (which we have affectionately dubbed "the kitchen"), I feel very well versed in the world of donuts.

We didn't take a whole lot of pictures. The highlights were the petting zoo where we saw a llama, bunnies, chickens, sheep and goats. Next was the "Old West Town" where we tortured K with photos and he and I rode a "horse" together. Finally, we took a ride behind a tractor to pick apples. In route K lost a shoe and we had to get off the trailer the tractor was pulling twice so that the driver could get up the embankments and/or make the turns. (I think this issue was independent of our living so close to Dunkin' Donuts, but one never can be certain.)

  1. Looks like you all had a nice time even if Konrad had a cold he didn't look like it minded it. :) Nice pictures.
