Sand and Surf!

K had his first outing to the beach this afternoon. The plan was to have a picnic in the shade, a trip to the beach itself and then take a walk. Unfortunately being the new parents that we are we completely forgot the basics like his sun hat and sunblock, so the part where we went to the beach lasted all of three minutes and was contained to the one spot that offered a small amount of shade. The good news is K really likes sand. The better news is we managed to keep him from eating any of it (miracle of miracles.) Best is that I remembered a camera (which I failed to do when he was introduced to grass on Thursday.)
