4 Months!

Konrad had his 4 month well visit today. Thought I'd share his stats:

Weight: 14 lbs, 8 oz. (25-50%)
Head: 16 3/4" (50-75%)
Length: 26 1/4"

We're not certain what percentile his height falls in, as we were first told he was 24 3/4", which represented a measly 1/4" growth in 2 months. Being the new mom that I am, I freaked out (subtly) and asked the doctor for a remeasure. He came up with the 26 1/4" which put me at ease. All seems well. Konrad was a champ getting his second set of shots and Joel did great holding him. We were been given the green light on solids. We were also told we could hold off for another 2 months if we want (and we do. I'm not ready for solids quite yet.) Konrad was very alert and smiley, which the doc loved. Mostly we talked about his activity, though. To quote our doctor (who is no spring chicken), "I've never seen a 4 month old roll over that quickly." (Insert chuckle here) "Sorry, Mom & Dad, you're going to be busy with this one." I'm hoping that this is a standard comment to all the new moms and dads, but am not so certain after he continued to stare in amazement and laugh at K's talents. I asked if activity might have some relation to intellegence (a girl can hope) and he laughed at me. I guess I was hoping that the promise that K was the next Bill Gates might help see me through the overly active years ahead. Guess not.
